Zcash Jumps 30% to $550 After Robinhood Listing, ETF Hopes

Zcash rose about 30% to roughly $550 after being listed on Robinhood and amid rising expectations for a Grayscale ETF, erasing the token’s 2026 losses.

Zcash climbed roughly 30% in a single session to a new 2026 high near $550, trimming back to about $545 by press time. The privacy-focused token ranked as the top gainer among the 100 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization and has more than doubled over the past month.

The price surge followed Zcash’s addition to Robinhood and increased market attention around a potential Grayscale exchange-traded fund. Online search activity for Zcash began to rise in May after a prior period of decline, and on-chain data show stronger accumulation in recent weeks.

Market participants pointed to several supply and flow factors. Analysis from Wise Advice linked the recovery to accumulation by Multicoin Capital, the Robinhood listing, an estimated 30% of Zcash supply being shielded, and growing ETF expectations.

Analyst Ardi Ardi described Tuesday’s price action as resembling a short squeeze and identified $550 as a ‘macro lower-high resistance area.’ He noted that a confirmed break above that level could open the way for a larger advance.

Joao Wedson, founder and CEO of Alphractal, cautioned that the rally lacks robust on-chain and social support, leaving the breakout’s durability uncertain. Traders and observers said they will watch whether trading volumes and community engagement can sustain gains.

Zcash earlier decoupled from a broader market downturn late last year, reaching multi-year highs before entering a corrective phase driven by internal governance disputes and wider market pressure. The recent rally has recovered the year’s earlier losses and restored positive performance for the year to date.

Near-term indicators cited by traders include trading volume, supply dynamics and whether institutional flows tied to ETF expectations materialize. For now, Zcash has reversed its 2026 decline and sits among the day’s leading gainers while questions remain about sustained momentum.
