X embeds live cashtag charts and real-time prices
X now shows live cashtag charts and real-time prices inside posts, displaying current price, daily percent change and interactive charts; product head Nikita Bier demonstrated with $TSLA.
X has begun embedding live cashtag charts and real-time prices directly inside posts on its platform. The embedded preview shows the current price, the day’s percentage change and an interactive chart that updates alongside the post.
Nikita Bier, X’s head of product, posted a demonstration using Tesla’s ticker $TSLA to show the in-feed chart preview. The feed preview allows users to view recent price action and interact with the chart without leaving X.
The cashtag upgrade extends X’s smart cashtags framework, which covers both stocks and crypto. An earlier rollout of smart cashtags generated an estimated $1 billion in trading volume within its first 48 hours, according to company figures.
X has previously tested in-feed trading and launched a crypto trading terminal tied to Smart Cashtags. The company has also released XChat and is developing an X Money wallet in partnership with Visa.
In replies to Bier’s post, a trader asked for a year-to-date chart option. Bier replied, “Coming soon.” That exchange indicates the product team plans to add additional chart options.
Users and traders on the platform have asked whether chart coverage will expand beyond U.S. equities to include more crypto tickers. X can measure the impact of the update through engagement inside posts and any changes in trading activity routed from the platform.
