WEEX becomes LaLiga regional partner in Taiwan, Hong Kong

WEEX signed an official regional partnership with LaLiga on May 11, 2026, to integrate crypto trading into match-day fan experiences and local campaigns in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

WEEX and LaLiga announced an official regional partnership covering Taiwan and Hong Kong on May 11, 2026, in Hong Kong. The agreement names WEEX an official regional partner of LaLiga in those markets and commits both organizations to joint fan and community engagement initiatives.

Under the deal, WEEX will work with LaLiga to integrate digital-asset trading into match-day content, offline activations and localized campaigns aimed at football supporters in Taiwan and Hong Kong. The companies said planned activities will target peak fan-attention moments around matches and use local events to connect trading products with fan experiences.

WEEX, founded in 2018, serves more than 6.2 million users across more than 150 countries. The exchange offers over 2,000 trading pairs and up to 400× futures leverage. LaLiga, which organizes Spain’s top professional competitions including LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION, has an international footprint that includes operations in 41 countries, 11 offices and content in 20 languages.

Andrew Weiner, chief operating officer of WEEX, called the partnership “a culmination of shared values” and added that “The Power of Our Futbol is the perfect reflection of the power of our crypto community.” Jorge de la Vega, managing director of LaLiga, described the alliance as aligned with the league’s global brand strategy and said the agreement allows LaLiga to explore emerging territories in a responsible, forward-looking way.

The companies said the collaboration will focus on longer-term brand presence rather than one-off promotions and will emphasize repeated, localized initiatives to build regional engagement. Both parties characterized the arrangement as a multi-year engagement with attention to regional market compliance and community outreach.

LaLiga reported more than 240 million followers across its social platforms and runs social programs such as LALIGA GENUINE, a competition for players with intellectual disabilities. The new partnership places WEEX within LaLiga’s network of regional partners and follows a pattern of sports organizations forming commercial ties with financial and technology firms to expand digital and commercial offerings.
