Trump Media Transfers 2,650 BTC to Crypto.com

Trump Media & Technology Group moved 2,650 BTC (about $205 million) to Crypto.com, trimming its on-chain bitcoin holdings to roughly 6,889 BTC.

On-chain analytics firm Lookonchain flagged a deposit of 2,650 bitcoin, about $205 million at current prices, from Trump Media & Technology Group wallets to Crypto.com. The transfer cuts the company’s on-chain bitcoin balance to roughly 6,889 BTC.

Four months earlier the company moved 2,000 BTC out of its wallets at an average price of $87,378 per coin, a transfer then valued at about $175 million. After that outflow the company reported a treasury of 9,542 BTC; the latest transfer reduces the on-chain total further.

Trump Media originally acquired 11,542 BTC at an average cost of $118,522 per coin, deploying about $1.37 billion of corporate capital into bitcoin. With bitcoin trading near $77,700, the holding sits about 34% below the acquisition price, an unrealized shortfall of roughly $455 million on the original position.

The company reported a $406 million net loss earlier this month, of which $368.7 million was attributed to unrealized markdowns on digital assets and equity securities. TMTG also holds 756 million Cronos (CRO) tokens, valued at about $2.64 million.

A deposit to an exchange does not always indicate an immediate sale. On-chain data will show whether the Crypto.com deposit results in a confirmed sale when the exchange reports executed trades in its settlement window.
