State Street’s Jason Rich and NSE Clearing CEO Vikram Kothari were named Legends and inducted into Global Custodian’s Hall of Fame at the 2026 Leaders in Custody Asia awards.
Jason Rich of State Street and Vikram Kothari, chief executive of NSE Clearing, were inducted as Legends into the Global Custodian Hall of Fame during the 2026 Leaders in Custody Asia awards. The Hall of Fame honours long-serving professionals who have led major initiatives and driven change in securities services and post-trade market infrastructure.
Jason Rich has more than 25 years in banking and financial services and has worked at State Street for 17 years. He is country head for Singapore and Southeast Asia and regional head of sales for Asia Pacific. In those roles he has overseen an enterprise growth strategy covering Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia and Thailand, and worked on client engagement with institutional investors, regulators and government stakeholders. Rich led business development across investor services and global markets in the region, previously heading the asset owners and official institutions segment for APAC and helping secure several large Australian superannuation mandates. Before State Street, he held senior positions at Royal Bank of Canada and earlier roles at Westpac, where he focused on trade finance and foreign exchange.
Vikram Kothari has more than three decades of experience in custody, clearing, settlement and capital markets transformation. He built institutional custody and clearing operations at global banks including HSBC and JP Morgan before moving into leadership roles in India’s market infrastructure. As managing director and CEO of NSE Clearing, he led reforms that included the shift to T+1 settlement, the introduction of investor-level collateral segregation and the implementation of enhanced risk management frameworks. Those initiatives were presented as measures to strengthen market resilience, improve transparency and increase investor protection. Kothari has also participated in international forums and policy discussions on market infrastructure and regulation.
Global Custodian described its Hall of Fame as composed of industry stalwarts with decades of experience who have driven change across market infrastructure and post-trade services. The Leaders in Custody Asia awards ceremony brought together custody, clearing and post-trade professionals from across the Asia Pacific region to present awards and recognise achievements in custody and related services.
