Percona appoints Louis Hood director of global partnerships
Percona appointed Louis Hood director of global partnerships to lead its partner program across cloud providers, GSIs, ISVs and VARs.
Percona has appointed Louis Hood as director of global partnerships. He will lead the company’s partner program across cloud providers, global systems integrators, independent software vendors and value-added resellers to increase adoption of Percona’s open source database software.
Hood will oversee Percona’s global partner ecosystem and develop alliances intended to help customers adopt, deploy and scale the company’s database solutions in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The role includes aligning partner activities with measurable customer outcomes and simplifying integration in complex IT setups.
Hood has more than 20 years of experience building and scaling partner networks in cloud, data and enterprise technology markets. He served as FinOps cloud lead at Tangoe, focusing on cloud spending optimization and aligning technology investments with business priorities. He previously held senior alliance and partner roles at SoftServe and CDW where he led go-to-market initiatives for cloud and emerging technologies.
“Most organizations are operating across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while trying to manage rising costs and growing complexity,” Hood said. “Percona’s open approach gives them a different path: more flexibility, better control over cost and infrastructure, and no lock-in. The way is open, and our partner program should reflect that — focused, strategic and built around outcomes that matter.”
Percona CEO Peter Farkas added that Hood’s experience aligns with the company’s focus on delivering customer value through open source technologies. “Customers want more control over their data infrastructure, not more complexity or lock-in,” Farkas said.
Percona said Hood’s background in building partner ecosystems will support its channel strategy to meet customer demand for flexibility and cost control in multi-cloud and hybrid architectures. The company said it expects him to drive partnerships that lower barriers to adoption and help customers manage infrastructure complexity and cloud expenses.
