Panther Protocol Brings Programmable Privacy to Polygon
Panther Protocol launched on Polygon, offering programmable privacy and a compliance-enabled zone that accepts zero-knowledge attestations and third-party credentials like AMLBot.
Panther Protocol is now live on Polygon, introducing programmable privacy for decentralized finance. The deployment adds a privacy layer to on-chain activity while providing verifiable compliance options through a dedicated compliance-enabled zone.
The protocol uses zero-knowledge cryptography, a non-custodial architecture and DAO governance. Cryptographic proofs are generated locally in users’ browsers or devices rather than by a central service, and users interact directly with smart contracts while keeping control of their assets.
The initial release includes a compliance-enabled zone that accepts credentials from independent providers. Participants submit zero-knowledge attestations on-chain so the protocol can verify eligibility or compliance status without revealing personal data or transferring identity records to the DAO or the protocol infrastructure. AMLBot is one of the external credential providers available via PureFi tooling.
Panther is designed to link privacy-enabled transactions with existing decentralized liquidity and DeFi markets. The protocol supports confidential interactions while supporting integrations with standard DeFi sources and external adapters, allowing users in privacy zones to access broader liquidity and market functions.
The network introduces Panther Reward Points, or PRPs, awarded for protocol participation. Users accrue PRPs for actions such as using privacy-enabled zones and other qualifying interactions. Rules for earning and distributing PRPs are set by Panther DAO governance as the protocol expands to additional chains and integrations.
The architecture includes a Forensic Data Escrow feature. Encrypted metadata can be disclosed through a governed process and only under predefined conditions, providing a mechanism for accountable disclosure without routine exposure of user data.
The project roadmap lists multi-chain expansion, additional integrations and new zone and participation models. Panther DAO has approved a grant to support open-source development work intended to enable a potential future community deployment on Base.
The Panther Protocol Foundation, a nonprofit organization, will support ecosystem research and development through grants and initiatives. The foundation does not operate the protocol, deploy smart contracts, host interfaces, custody assets or provide financial services. The live interface is available at pantherdao.app and further information is posted at panther.org.
