Node4 named Neil Muller CEO and Patrick De Smedt non-exec chair to refine strategy and expand its AI-led managed services platform, ERP, CRM and data analytics across the UK.
Node4, a UK-based managed services provider, has appointed Neil Muller as chief executive officer and Patrick De Smedt as non-executive chair. The company announced the changes as it seeks to refine strategy and grow its AI-led managed services, ERP, CRM and data analytics offerings across the UK.
Muller will lead Node4’s next phase of growth, focusing on sharpening strategic direction and building platform capabilities that combine AI, cloud and managed services. He previously served as CEO of Digital Space and Daisy Group and spent two decades at Computacenter UK&I, including time as managing director. He will concentrate on increasing value for customers and partners and helping organizations operate more efficiently and securely.
De Smedt replaces Chris Woodhouse as non-executive chair and will provide strategic oversight and governance while supporting Node4’s UK expansion. His past roles include chair positions at Nasstar, KCOM Group, EMIS Group and Microsoft EMEA. He currently chairs Bytes Technology Group and The Rent Company B.V. He will work with the executive team on the company’s long-term direction.
Node4 serves more than 1,700 organizations across public and private sectors with AI-powered cloud and managed services. The company says it ranks within the top 1% of Microsoft Inner Circle partners and plans to leverage those relationships to develop its platform and partner network as it expands ERP, CRM and analytics capabilities.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Node4,” Muller commented. “What stood out to me was the combination of deep technical capability across the team and a genuine commitment to customers and people. Node4’s position within the top 1% of Microsoft Inner Circle partners gives us a strong foundation to build from. There’s a real opportunity here to scale the business while staying agile and customer-focused.”
“From its origins in Derby to becoming a nationwide organization supporting more than 1,700 customers, growth has been built on meeting real customer needs and investing in talented people,” De Smedt observed. “I’m delighted to be joining at this point in the journey and to be working alongside Neil and the leadership team as Node4 continues to evolve in a fast-moving and competitive market.”
The new chair and CEO will oversee Node4’s strategic priorities and planned platform enhancements as the company scales its managed services business across the UK.
