Lighter jumps 20% after Buterin mention, Tealstreet tie-in
Lighter (LIT) rose more than 20% to an intraday high of $1.23 after Vitalik Buterin mentioned the project, Tealstreet added direct trading and a synthetic SpaceX futures market launched.
Lighter (LIT) climbed more than 20% to an intraday high of $1.23 over a 24-hour period following three developments: a mention by Ethereum co‑founder Vitalik Buterin, an integration with trading terminal Tealstreet, and the launch of a synthetic SpaceX pre‑IPO perpetual futures market.
The token was the top performer among the 300 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization during the 24-hour stretch. Twenty-four‑hour trading volume rose 82% to $58.3 million, and at press time LIT was trading around $1.22. The $1.23 peak was Lighter’s highest level since March 18.
Buterin referenced Lighter during a recent fireside chat, naming it among projects building on the Ethereum network. Separately, Tealstreet added direct access to Lighter markets, enabling users of its high‑performance terminal to trade LIT pairs from the platform. Lighter’s own launch of a synthetic SpaceX pre‑IPO perpetual futures contract drew additional speculative orders and liquidity.
Over the past three days LIT has gained roughly 30%, recovering losses from earlier in the week. The token remains well below its December all‑time high of $7.86 and has not erased its broader 2026 drawdown.
Market participants will monitor whether trading volumes and the price level hold as attention around the project changes, noting that future price movement will depend on continued trading activity and overall market conditions.
