Global Custodian announced its May 14 Industry Discussion Forum in London will feature executives from State Street, JPMorgan, Clearstream and Deutsche Bank.

Global Custodian announced an Industry Discussion Forum on May 14 in London that will gather senior custody executives to discuss the future of global custody. The panel will meet in the Lincoln Room at the Savoy Hotel (River Entrance). Registration for the public event opens at 4:30 p.m.

Participants include Chris Rowland, head of custody, digital and fund services at State Street; Sam Cauvain‑Welsh, head of core product for global custody at JPMorgan; Phil Brown, CEO of Clearstream Bank; and Fiona Neville Pardaeva, head of securities services, Europe at Deutsche Bank. The line-up brings product, operations and executive perspectives from major custodians.

The discussion will address the effects of expanding private markets, the adoption of digital assets and tokenization, the use of data as a strategic asset, faster regulatory change and geopolitical shifts on cross-border securities services. Organizers noted the panel will consider whether these developments challenge traditional custody models or create opportunities for firms that adapt their services and operations.

Planned topics include the operational implications of holding private market assets, custody involvement in digital-asset custody and tokenization, data governance, connectivity and compliance frameworks. Panelists are expected to discuss product development, connectivity approaches and changes to compliance and data controls.

Chris Lemmon, editor at Global Custodian, will moderate the conversation. The forum is produced in partnership with Deutsche Bank and will be followed by the presentation of Global Custodian’s Hall of Fame awards to its newest GC Legends.
