Crypto Tops X Premium Snooze List

Premium subscribers have muted crypto topics more than politics, the Iran conflict, sports or business since X launched a topic-level snooze feature, product data shows.

X Premium subscribers have muted crypto content more than any other topic since the platform introduced a topic-level snooze control, according to data posted by Nikita Bier, head of product, on April 30, 2026.

Bier posted a ranking showing the most snoozed topics: crypto; politics; the Iran conflict; sports; business and finance; gaming; artificial intelligence; videos; science and technology; and entertainment and arts.

The snooze control lets Premium subscribers temporarily hide selected topics from their For You feed and fine-tune personalized recommendations. Premium accounts pay a monthly fee for features such as longer posts and larger edit windows.

The data reflects actions taken by subscribers who mute categories instead of individual accounts. X’s product team described the control as a way to change recommendations without unfollowing people; the feature is available to subscribers in the For You feed.

The pattern of frequent snoozes for crypto comes as public scrutiny of crypto-influencer activity has increased. Several token launches and scams tied to public figures have produced losses for retail traders who followed social media tips.

X has continued to expand products tied to financial services and crypto while Premium users mute the topic. The company recently hired designer Benji Taylor from a crypto-native firm and is developing XChat, a messaging product the company describes as payments-ready and intended to compete with services such as WhatsApp and iMessage.

Bier wrote on X: “The most snoozed (i.e., muted) topics since launching the snooze feature: 1. Crypto 2. Politics 3. Iran Conflict 4. Sports 5. Business & Finance 6. Gaming 7. Artificial Intelligence 8. Videos 9. Science & Technology 10. Entertainment & Arts.”

The post provides a snapshot of which topic categories Premium subscribers are choosing to hide from their feeds.
