CACEIS expands services for Triodos’ Dutch Article 9 funds
CACEIS was appointed custodian and depositary for Triodos Investment Management’s Dutch Article 9 funds and will add fund administration and reporting to its mandate.
CACEIS has been appointed custodian and depositary for Triodos Investment Management’s Dutch Article 9 fund range, expanding an existing relationship to include fund administration and reporting alongside safekeeping and oversight.
Under the expanded mandate, CACEIS will provide front-to-back asset servicing across Triodos’ Dutch Article 9 products, covering custody, depositary duties, fund administration and operational reporting.
Article 9 funds are classified under the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) as strategies with sustainable investment objectives. They have higher requirements for transparency, disclosure and regulatory oversight than lower-classified products. Managers of these funds require more granular environmental, social and governance (ESG) data and detailed reporting.
Frans Hofkens, head of business development at CACEIS Netherlands, said: “Our extensive experience in supporting leading asset managers, combined with our scalable and automated front-to-back servicing model, provides a strong foundation for a strategic partnership with Triodos Investment Management.”
Martijn van Oort, managing director risk, finance & operations at Triodos Investment Management, commented: “Working with CACEIS as our asset servicing partner provides a strong foundation for a long-term partnership. Together, we can further simplify our operations, increase efficiency and strengthen our focus on delivering value to our clients while maximizing our positive impact.”
The expanded remit follows growth in demand for Article 9-labelled funds and will extend CACEIS support across Triodos’ broader fund platform.
CACEIS will be responsible for safekeeping of assets, depositary oversight and the additional administration and reporting tasks needed to support the Dutch Article 9 fund range.
