BeInCrypto Names 15 Firms for Institutional Trading Infrastructure

BeInCrypto named 15 firms to the long list for its Institutional 100 “Best Institutional Trading Infrastructure” category. Shortlist in May 2026; winner at Proof of Talk, Paris, June 2–3, 2026.

BeInCrypto has placed 15 firms on the long list for its Institutional 100 category for Best Institutional Trading Infrastructure. The shortlist will be announced in May 2026 and the winner will be revealed at the Proof of Talk conference in Paris on June 2–3, 2026. The category covers services used by institutional clients to trade spot, derivatives and tokenized traditional finance products.

The long list was selected from more than 30 initial nominees and is presented alphabetically rather than ranked. Firms on the list offer order and execution management, prime brokerage, OTC liquidity, market making, regulated venue services, custody and off-exchange settlement for institutional customers.

The 15 firms are Cumberland (part of DRW), FalconX, Binance Institutional, Bitget, Boerse Stuttgart Digital, KuCoin Institutional, LMAX Digital, MirrorX, Nonco, OSL Digital, Ripple Prime, Talos, Taurus Group, Virtu Financial’s crypto desk and Wintermute. The group includes pure-play infrastructure providers, multi-asset prime brokers, institutional market makers, regulated European and APAC venues, and institutional product surfaces affiliated with major exchanges.

BeInCrypto evaluated nominees under Track B of its Institutional 100 methodology. Scoring weights are 30% quantitative metrics, 50% Expert Council assessment and 20% disclosed company data. Assessors reviewed eight criteria: client base and volume, venue connectivity, execution quality, product breadth, regulatory licensure, settlement and risk frameworks, institutional reputation and innovation indicators. Public regulatory registers, audited filings, issuer disclosures and third-party commercial databases were used to verify claims.

The long list highlights several operational and regulatory details for specific firms. FalconX is recorded with more than $2 trillion in cumulative trading volume and over 2,000 institutional clients. Ripple Prime was formed after Ripple’s acquisition of Prime Edge, which closed in October 2025; the business received a KBRA BBB investment-grade rating in April 2026. Boerse Stuttgart Digital operates under BaFin and MiCAR-CASP rules for its regulated exchange and custody services. LMAX Digital runs an institutional-only matched central limit order book with sub-millisecond latency and FIX connectivity. Binance Institutional was assessed separately from its parent retail exchange and holds a VARA Dubai licence while operating across multiple VASP jurisdictions. Nonco is noted as a Mexico City-based bilateral liquidity provider with a reported monthly trading volume above $5 billion.

BeInCrypto stated the disclosed-data component was included to address limited public visibility into institutional client counts, OMS/EMS volumes and prime brokerage flows. Nominee-submitted information provided additional verifiable inputs where public data were scarce. The Institutional 100 program recognises institutional digital-asset providers across 26 categories and six pillars; the Best Institutional Trading Infrastructure category is part of Pillar 2: Capital Markets & Infrastructure.

A shortlist of finalists will be published in May 2026 ahead of the final announcement at Proof of Talk in Paris on June 2–3, 2026.
