BeInCrypto named 15 firms to its Institutional 100 long list for Crypto Corporate Governance. A shortlist will be published in May 2026 and the winner announced at Proof of Talk in Paris, June 2–3, 2026.
BeInCrypto has named 15 firms to the Institutional 100 long list for its Crypto Corporate Governance category. The organization will publish a shortlist in May 2026 and reveal a single winner at the Proof of Talk conference in Paris on June 2–3, 2026.
The long list includes Anchorage Digital, BitGo, Block, BNY Global, Bullish, Circle Internet Group, Coinbase, Fidelity Digital Assets NA, Galaxy Digital, Kraken (Payward), Robinhood Markets, Securitize, Standard Chartered, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), and Sygnum. The firms are listed alphabetically and are not ranked. They represent listed crypto companies, federally chartered crypto banks, regulated custody providers and traditional banks with material digital-asset operations.
BeInCrypto screened more than 30 organizations before advancing 15 to the long list. Firms with unresolved governance failures were removed from consideration through a negative-signal precondition applied before scoring.
The category is evaluated under Track C of the BeInCrypto Institutional 100 methodology. Scoring allocates 20% to quantitative metrics and 80% to an Expert Council. Assessors examined seven criteria: public-market disclosure and SOX-equivalent controls, strength of banking charters or regulatory frameworks, board independence, audit and compliance maturity, documented responses to regulatory or security incidents, transparency of disclosures, and leadership credibility.
Editorial verification drew on public regulator and market records, including OCC national trust bank charter information, SEC EDGAR filings, New York Department of Financial Services registers, and records from European and Asian regulators such as the FCA, FINMA, BaFin and MAS. The review also used audited corporate reports, company disclosures and private-market databases including PitchBook, Tracxn and Crunchbase.
Several firms on the list have recent regulatory or market milestones cited in the assessment. BitGo completed a public listing in January 2026 and holds an OCC national trust bank charter. Circle maintains monthly USDC reserve attestations and received a conditional OCC national trust charter in December 2025. Fidelity Digital Assets holds a conditional OCC trust bank charter and filed a confidential SEC IPO registration in November 2025. Kraken operates under a Wyoming SPDI charter and has filed for OCC trust status. Sygnum holds a FINMA banking license and has permissions in multiple jurisdictions. Galaxy Digital re-domiciled to the United States and completed a Nasdaq uplisting in 2025. Anchorage, BitGo and Fidelity were cited for national trust bank structures in the evaluation.
The long list is a preliminary stage in the Institutional 100 process. BeInCrypto will name a shortlist in May 2026 and announce the category winner at the Proof of Talk event in Paris on June 2–3, 2026.
