15 digital asset managers named to BeInCrypto 2026 list

BeInCrypto Institutional Research named 15 firms to the 2026 Best Digital Asset Manager long list; a shortlist is due in May and the winner will be announced at Proof of Talk in Paris on June 2–3, 2026.

BeInCrypto Institutional Research has placed 15 firms on the 2026 long list for its Best Digital Asset Manager category within the BeInCrypto Institutional 100 program. The long list spans ETF and ETP issuers, tokenized fund operators, crypto-native hedge funds and public-market crypto exposure vehicles across multiple jurisdictions.

The candidates were selected from an initial pool of more than 30 firms. The Best Digital Asset Manager category is part of Pillar 2: Capital Markets & Infrastructure of the annual Institutional 100 research initiative. The 15 firms are listed alphabetically on the long list and are not ranked.

Evaluation used a Track B methodology weighting 30% quantitative metrics, 50% Expert Council scoring and 20% disclosed company data. Assessors reviewed eight criteria: assets under management, product breadth, regulatory status, distribution reach, tokenization or staking integration, fee competitiveness, institutional adoption, and track record and reputation. Verifying sources included SEC EDGAR filings, ETF flow trackers, issuer disclosures, regulatory registers such as VARA, FCA, FINMA, BaFin, MAS and MiCA-CASP, audited reports and private-market databases including PitchBook, Tracxn and Crunchbase.

The long list includes large traditional asset managers and specialist crypto issuers. BlackRock is shown with more than $12.5 trillion in total AUM and its IBIT product holding roughly $80 billion. Fidelity discloses FBTC holdings between $15 billion and $18 billion and operates Fidelity Digital Assets custody services. BitMine Immersion Technologies is listed as a public ETH treasury vehicle with about 5.21 million ETH and total holdings near $13.4 billion; BitMine uplisted to the NYSE in April 2026. Other named firms include Bitwise, Grayscale, 21Shares, CoinShares, Hashdex, Purpose Investments, VanEck, ProShares, Franklin Templeton, WisdomTree, Invesco (in partnership with Galaxy Digital) and Nine Blocks Capital Management, a VARA-licensed hedge fund based in Dubai.

Several firms are noted for particular product types or regional footprints. Purpose and other issuers run spot crypto ETFs in Canada and Latin America; CoinShares and multi-jurisdiction ETP managers operate broad European platforms; Franklin Templeton and WisdomTree have deployed tokenized money market funds and multi-chain products; Invesco’s joint activity with Galaxy supports its ETF offerings; ProShares and VanEck are identified for futures and ETF product expertise.

A shortlist will be published in May 2026. The winner in the Best Digital Asset Manager category will be announced at the Proof of Talk conference in Paris on June 2–3, 2026. The BeInCrypto Institutional 100 program continues to monitor institutional digital asset products and relevant regulatory registers as part of its annual recognition framework.
