CACEIS to custody Triodos Dutch Article 9 funds

CACEIS will serve as custodian and depositary for Triodos Investment Management’s Dutch Article 9 funds, handling custody, fund administration and regulatory reporting.
CACEIS has been appointed custodian and depositary for Triodos Investment Management’s Dutch Article 9 fund range, expanding its role across Triodos’ Dutch fund platform. The mandate covers safekeeping, oversight, fund administration and regulatory reporting for the manager’s highest sustainability-classified products.
The funds are classified as Article 9 under the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), which requires detailed disclosure, data reporting and supervisory processes for products that target specific sustainability outcomes.
Frans Hofkens, head of business development at CACEIS Netherlands, described the firm’s scalable, automated front-to-back servicing model and experience with large asset managers as a basis for a strategic partnership with Triodos.
Martijn van Oort, managing director risk, finance & operations at Triodos Investment Management, commented that working with CACEIS will simplify operations, increase efficiency and help maintain focus on client outcomes and sustainability objectives. He added that the arrangement provides a base for a long-term partnership.
Growth in Article 9 funds has increased demand for more granular environmental, social and governance data and higher-frequency reporting. Asset servicers have moved toward integrated custody, administration and data services to collect sustainability metrics and deliver consistent regulatory disclosures.
The appointment extends CACEIS’ involvement across Triodos’ broader fund platform and assigns custody and depositary functions to support the manager’s most sustainability-focused strategies.
