Carl Moon: I know my buys sway retail investors

Carl Runefelt said his public buys prompt followers to buy and he will stop promoting very small tokens after large altcoin losses.

Carl Runefelt, the Swedish creator known as Carl Moon, acknowledged in a recent interview with David Wulschner that his public cryptocurrency purchases prompt followers to buy the same tokens.

He reflected on the 2021–2022 cycle and described projects he covered that surged and then collapsed. “I also know that if I say I buy something, I know people will buy it. Like I’m not stupid,” he said during the conversation.

Runefelt reported that some altcoins he highlighted are down 80, 90 and even 95 percent from their peaks. He committed to stop promoting very small tokens and added he never knowingly promoted a scam.

David Wulschner described a similar change in his own practice. He recalled that his first 50 to 60 videos were price predictions for small projects and that he stopped after observing how his audience reacted.

Wulschner now posts his wallet addresses and focuses on educational videos. He frames his content as one input in viewers’ risk assessments rather than as direct investment advice, based on his remarks.

Both creators stressed the importance of audience trust. Runefelt conceded he did not start his channel with special expertise: “Did I know more than anyone else when I started my channel? Definitely not.”

Neither host claimed to have solved the issue of creator influence. Both described changes to their practices and indicated further adjustments may follow as they reassess how to balance engagement with the potential to move retail money.

The remarks came amid a prolonged market downturn marked by broad altcoin losses and shrinking retail portfolios.
